Electric utility Evergy Inc. flipped the switch on the names of its operating brands on Monday. The Kansas City Power & Light and Westar brands officially gave way to the Evergy brand. The switch began with the $14 billion combination of Topeka-based Westar Energy and Kansas City-based Great Plains Energy Inc. last year.
