In Mark chapter 6, after a very busy time of ministry, the disciples came back to Jesus and gave a report. The very next thing He said to them was, “Come ye yourselves apart into a desert [secluded] place, and rest a while.” For what purpose? Rest. Why would they need rest? They were so busy in ministry that they didn’t even have time to slow down and eat! Here Jesus is emphasizing the importance of getting away for physical rest and spiritual refreshment.
