Xenics nv: Photonis Eyes Infrared Imaging Market with Xenics Acquisition

Technology company Photonis has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Xenics, a Belgian developer and manufacturer of infrared solutions. Photonis' technology supports the defense and industrial markets. Camera maker Xenics is a leading supplier in Europe of shortwave infrared (SWIR) imagers. Its offerings support machine vision, biomedical, and thermography applications, among others. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
